System details
Posts are available round, square or rectangular in steel. Wires use multi-strand rope typically 3–8 mm diameter. Fixings are stainless steel eye bolts and turnbuckles for precise tension. Standard mount is base-plate with cover roses. Side-fix when base mounting is not possible. Finish options include satin or mirror polish and powder coating to any RAL colour.
We manufacture components in-house and pre-drill posts for accurate wire lines. That reduces site time and improves finish quality.
Typical applications
Wire balustrades suit: decks and patios, terraces, low-level balconies, staircases and landscape divisions. They are common in domestic gardens and commercial outdoor seating areas where visibility matters.
- Garden decks and patios
- Outdoor staircases and terraces
- Low-level balconies and viewing platforms
- Commercial terraces, cafés and offices
Wire vs glass balustrades
Wire is cost-effective and preserves airflow and views. Glass gives wind protection and a more solid barrier on higher-level balconies. Choose wire for gardens and terraces. Choose glass for exposed balconies. See our balcony balustrade range for glass options.
