Frameless Juliet Balcony Installation in Shrewsbury
We’ve just completed a frameless Juliet balcony with black powder-coated frame on a large loft extension in Shrewsbury.
Why Choose a Skyview Juliet?
Frameless Juliet balconies are a clean, modern way to make the most of wide openings without adding clutter to the facade. You get full-height safety glass and uninterrupted views when the doors are open. They’re ideal for bedrooms, loft conversions, or anywhere you want extra light and a better view without the need for a full balcony.
If you’re working on a similar project, a frameless Juliet balcony can be a simple, compliant and visually clean solution.
What the Job Involved
This was a room with a full-height bi-fold door. We supplied and installed a frameless Juliet balcony, face-fixed into the door reveal. The powder-coated black frame ties in neatly with the door system.
The fitting area was tight due to the roof pitch and tile detail. We worked carefully to get everything aligned with no clash on the drip flashings or cills.
Materials Used
- Frameless Juliet balcony
- Black powder-coated channels
- Glass panels to suit opening width
- Stainless steel fixings
Building Regs and Safety
All our Juliet balconies, including this one, meet the requirements of BS6180:2011 for guarding and safety. That includes loading performance, fixings, and minimum height regulations. If you’re unsure whether your project requires a balustrade, check the Planning Portal for guidance on decking, balconies, and extensions.
